Notes

Fishing centre which provides guided tours and tuition in fly fishing and spinning for salmon and trout in the West of Ireland.

We can now offer new self-catering accommodation on site with us or choose from a range of hotels or guests houses in the area.

Fly Fishing

The main course offered at Spiddal Angling School is the course in Fly Fishing. The course is suitable for beginners to improvers and is customised to suit the needs of the client. The basic core of the fly fishing course is divided into 2 parts, theory and casting.

Guiding

Connemara is known worldwide for its clean, unpolluted rivers and lakes, which offer plentiful supplies of salmon, sea trout, and wild brown trout. If you fish for Sea Trout or Salmon you must purchase the relevant licence for these two migratory species. We can arrange for this at your request.

Spiddal’s beautiful coastal landscape doesn’t just provide a magnificent backdrop for sea angling, it forms a vital part of the sport itself. Just try angling in the surf of any sandy Spiddal beach…catching mullet in the picturesque harbours…or fishing wrasse (rock fish), mackerel, pollock in the craggy coastline and you’ll see what we mean!
